Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva has disclosed that it is tough to face prolific striker, Erling Haaland.
Silva, 39, said he would have loved to play against Haaland earlier in his career following their clash two days ago.
“It’s very difficult to mark a player like this, especially at my age. I would like to go back a bit to be able to face him a little better. I know I’m closer to the end than the beginning,” Silva was quoted by ESPN.
Haaland scored twice in Manchester City’s four all draw (4-4) with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a breathtaking encounter.
He opened the scoring twenty-five (25) minutes into the game – and fired home his second (City’s third) in the 47th minute.
Similarly, Silva recorded the Blues first goal in the 29th minute feeding off Conor Gallagher’s effort.
The Norwegian international has now registered 13 goals in 12 Premier League games this season -and netted 17 times in 18 appearances across all competitions.
